YOGA SOLUTIONS FOR MORE JOY AND LESS STRESS
Yoga is good medicine to restore your serenity, empower your core and sooth your physiology. Gentle movement, nourishing meditations and restful back bends encourage the flow of life energy through the spine to massage the deeper tissues of the body.
Joy is an inside job. The energy, frequency and vibration of fluid flowing in the spine and heart creates a radiance that affects all current relationships in our lives. We have relationships with the body, mind and spirit as well as each other. Yoga helps us maintain a balanced orchestra of movement inside the body and in the world.
With age the spine tends to gradually curve into a forward stoop which literally closes down the heart—a phenomenon that is also common in younger populations in today’s sedentary society. Back bends help reverse the heart-closing trend and are considered the best group of yoga postures for healthy aging.
Don’t worry if you can’t touch your ears with your knees. Yoga is more about deep relaxation into postures that reflect the true self, not some fashion model ideal. It’s about transforming sometimes challenging universal life experiences into personal, joyful revelation and wise action.
When body, breath and mind are synchronized through yoga, every nerve, cell, bone and gland experiences inner stillness, relaxation and a calmer, more lucid awareness.
This is a work-in, not really about the pay-off, but what a pay-off there is in feeling more alive, grounded and joyful!
Fee: $30
