Gifts of the Ancestors - August 10th -- The Joy of Healing Movement

Imagine the Earth aimed toward futures more dazzling and promising than anything that has come before. The quality of energy we put into our Earthly lives returns to us and our descendants with great precision and power.

Energy never dies. Energy is immortal. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. Energy is forever, which means that we cannot disconnect from the ancestors who gave us life,

Neither can we escape becoming either beloved ancestors or fragmented lineages of future generations. We can exalt our descendants with our wholeness, integration, and intentions, or we can merely pass along fractured patterns we received from unconscious forebears.

You are invited next Saturday, August 10th, to share precious moments, expanded states of consciousness, and the jeweled seeds of renewal pulsing within you! Transforming the patterns of movement inside us changes everything. Moving forward, our lives are changed, and even, astonishingly, our experiences of and in the past are modified.

Now is the time to choose – do we strengthen the connections that bond us in the Love Continuum that permeates cosmic and microscopic fields of life? Or will we continue to damage and dissociate from ourselves, Nature, each other, and the more-than-human worlds?

OUR ANCIENT BODIES

Our ancient bodies are miracles of coherence and continuity. They contain billion-year-old stardust blended with 84 minerals and 23 elements woven from Earth’s spare parts according to instructions hidden in a double helix small enough to be carried by a sperm cell.

Recycled dinosaurs, butterflies, trees, rocks, streams, and the teeth of great-grandparents were broken into their smallest parts and energies, rebuilt, and regenerated. Today, that energy pulses in our veins and tissues, making you and me into some of the most complex living beings on our planet.

You are not only filled with 60-90% water and living on Earth… you ARE the water and Earth. The approximately 10 gallons of water you carry, divided by 38 billion cells, conveys the memories of ancestral healers, skilled artists, and brilliant shamans, teachers, leaders, and prayer-keepers who bequeathed their talents and ideas to you.

When we attune to the intrinsic wisdom flowing through our bodies, we are blessed with bliss and belonging. We find new pathways for improved relationships, more refined work output, and even climate healing. We become conduits for extraordinary understanding and intelligence in action.

When we gather on August 10th, you will be guided to tap into this intrinsic wisdom. Bringing the essence of Yoga, Shamanic, and Dance insights together for a sacred ceremony, the 4-hour event on Saturday afternoon will deepen our embodiment of the Love Continuum.

In the workshop, we will:
- Speak with the Spirits of the Directions
- Move through challenges by engaging the Bands of Power.
- Make and listen to Music that liquefies unwanted tension, melting away armor.
- Open our voices to optimize coherence, grace, alignment, and harmony.
- Learn the Healer’s Rite and practice the Seer’s Rite
- Illuminate timeless wisdom that is deeper than our current embodiment allows.

The potent continuity of life flowing through our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies connects us to our unique ancestral lineage, and that changes everything. By honoring the ancestral tides, waves, and whispers of delicious natural movements, unlimited by conditioned social and intellectual experience, we inspire the deepest kind of Personal, Collective, and Ancestral Healing.

ANCESTRAL INTELLIGENCE AND HEALING

In our ancestral lineages, we include the Elementals – Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Ether, the beloved genetic lineages and cultures, and the affinity ancestors we choose over time to discuss things – chatting with Mark Twain about a turn of phrase, asking Emilie Conrad about fluid dance, or following the Hawaiian hula goddess Laka’s graceful moves in a Dreamtime setting.

All our ancestors love us more than most of us know, and they invite our conversation. They are as alive in us as DNA and the epi-genetic streams that glide and waltz through our bodies.

A friend said recently the “wise ancestors are the most underutilized labor force in the universe,” and I agree. I have also witnessed how “wounded ancestors,” when invited to give and receive healing support, can become “wise and well ancestors” who nurture and protect us.

Every one of us, and every one of our ancestors, are redeemable. As one Hawaiian Kupuna says, “Even cranky old ancestors can empty their Bowl of Light and let the sunshine in. They can become ‘utterly trustworthy’ Aumakua. Then, our reconnected, renewed energy spreads out to everyone’s benefit.” It’s all there in the Ancestral Grand Plan, according to the Kahuna Nui Hale Kealohalani Makua.

So if you’ve ever felt like something or someone is inwardly nudging you forward, or holding you back, or up, or down, chances are, you are probably right.

We are constellations of those who came before. We are also brilliant co-creators of the new Earth and our Luminous Energy Fields (LEFs).

ABOUT MARYA:

Marya Mann holds a Ph.D. in Creative Arts from the Union Institute and has been teaching and consulting wtih Yogis, therapists, artists, teachers, couples, families, and children for 30 years. The co-author of Healing Our Planet, Healing Our Selves, she has worked closely with experts in childhood development, mindfulness, traumatic stress, and collective trauma healing. She is certified as an advanced PSYCH-K® facilitator and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Her own spiritual journey to recapture her Soul led her on many spiritual and creative paths including Yoga, Shamanism, Art Therapy, Buddhist Ensemble Theater, and more. Now, as founder and program director of the Pacific ArtWavEs Peace Flag program to Nourish Children, Marya devotes herself to preventing Soul loss and healing trauma in the coming generations. By spreading peace in our time through early childhood training in intentional artmaking, our future becomes brighter.

After studying with Trungpa Rinpoche, Emilie Conrad, Joseph Campbell, Stan Grof, Joan Halifax, Osho, and Richard Freeman, she taught at the International Yoga Teachers Association and led Yoga Arts Journeys in Bali. Arriving in Hawaii 17 years ago, she performed Stand-Up Yoga comedy, assisted the transformation of students and clients, and taught Evolutionary Yoga Flow classes as well as Yoga with Hawaiian Perspectives at Hawaii Community College.

Writing for Ke Ola Magazine, she delved into the lives and teachings of some of Hawaii’s wisest healers, artists, farmers, futurists, and leaders. That was how she came to interview, know, study with, and write about Aunty Mahealani Henry, Shamanists Hank Wesselman and Jill Kuykendall, and the Kahuna Nui, Hale Kealohalani Makua.

Realizing that we are all wounded by the ways of this world, she believes it is our kuleana – our responsibility — to become holy and creative beings once again. “Every day offers a new initiation, a wink, and a prayer,” she says. “We must see ourselves as creators first. If the impulse to innovate is denied and sublimated into consumerism, the energy is turned back in on itself as a destructive urge! We can purge that urge by making clear the pathways for creativity to flourish. The opposite of consumerism and collapse are creativity and kindness! We can choose which way we will go!”
